Liapues
Some wines are born from experimentation, while others have a story to tell. Liapues brings both together in a unique blend that combines the freshness of Malvasia de Sitges with the character and structure of skin-contact Macabeu. A limited production of just 138 bottles that reflects a different approach to winemaking.
In the glass, it displays an attractive golden colour with amber highlights and delicate orange hues. On the nose, floral aromas, white fruit and Mediterranean herbs take centre stage, accompanied by hints of orange peel and subtle vermouth-like notes that add complexity and personality.
On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with balanced acidity and a generous, structured texture. Nine months of ageing the Malvasia in glass demijohns, combined with the skin-contact fermentation of the Macabeu, create an expressive wine with a long, lingering finish.
But Liapues is also a tribute to Salvador Vallès, founder of Emendis, who was affectionately nicknamed Liapues as a child. A childhood memory transformed into wine, bringing together tradition, family heritage and experimentation in a truly special limited edition.
